Next up in Fair's New Sculpture Garden: 'Tedford Tuff'

Art has always been part of the Big Fresno Fair, but never quite like this.
A new sculpture garden, known as Iron Mountain, is open as the fair begins its 13-day run Wednesday.
The featured piece unveiled Friday was a 14-foot, 3-ton homage to outgoing Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer. Opening day will also feature a ceremony for a bench and Bulldog sculpture for Fresno State head football coach Jeff Tedford.
Fair CEO John Alkire showed his versatility, designing these pieces.
In all, the garden features more than 30 pieces of artwork. Alkire says all are made from recycled parts.
Alkire’s personal favorite work is a sculpture depicting Jesus.
Iron Mountain is located just east of The Pavilion gazebo, near the carnival area.
